Lame.
From time to time I Google my book “Free Love – True Stories of Love and Lust on the Internet” to see how well it comes up in search results as part of my ongoing marketing efforts.
Among the search results was a link to About.com’s Is it Love… or Lust Dating Quiz. “Sometimes determining whether or not your relationship is built on love or lust can challenge even the most socially savvy amongst us. If this is an issue in your relationship, take this love quiz to find out where the two of you stand.”
Okay… Curiosity got the better of me and I took the quiz determined to get a “lusty” outcome just for shits and giggles (as they say across the pond) and because I think these kinds of quizzes are generally pretty stupid. Here are the questions, my responses, and the results for your reading pleasure. They answer may surprise you.
Huh?… What?… Really?!
I was so surprised by this that I took the quiz again, using the exact same responses, which resulted in the exact same conclusion.
My conclusions from this little experiment?
1. I think I went wrong where I said I’d let her borrow the Tag Heuer Monaco watch I always wanted and knew she wanted but bought for myself (I wish) rather than just keeping it to myself.
2. This quiz was developed by men.
3. This quiz was stupid.
