Luv@FirstTweet is a new free online dating service for your Twitter account. When you follow @LuvAtFirstTweet, questions will pop up on your Twitter feed. Answer as many or few as you want and Luv@FirstTweet’s algorithm will use your responses to match you with someone they think you might like. They say the more you answer, the better the match will be.
They idea is to make online dating simple. Too many dating sites feel like a chore, and often lead to stale, run-of-the-mill profiles that rarely get updated and/or truly reflect your personality. With Luv@FirstTweet, by simply tweeting you simultaneously build your profile, keep it current and get closer to finding your next date.
Popular questions being asked at the time of this writing are:
“What is your favorite board game?”
“What is your favorite Superbowl snack?”
“What is your favorite thing about the city where you live?”
“Where do you want to live when you’re married?”
“What generally is the first thing that attracts you to someone?”
“What is your favorite color?”
“What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen Swallow?”
“What do you mean, an African or European Swallow?”
“How do you know so much about Swallows?”
OK, so those last few were from Monty Python and The Holy Grail. But you get the idea. And it is a rather interesting idea. Time is precious. And when you have a busy schedule, it leaves little time for dating, which can be tedious and time-consuming — especially when rummaging through hundreds of profiles only to find yourself in “response purgatory.”
Once you’ve done your minimal work, answered a few questions and build up a bit of a profile, you can scan your matches, make sure they fit what you’re interested in, and get their email and Twitter handle to reach out to them and exchange fake photos.
You probably won’t find the man/woman of your dreams this way, but who knows? At the very least, you could meet some interesting people with similar interests (lazy with short attention spans). Which isn’t a bad thing. Want more info? Visit their website at www.luvatfirsttweet.com.
