So you shell out the big bucks for a MacBook Pro and an iPhone because you’re the cool hipster you are, but don’t want to spend another $259 for a Kindle Wireless Reading Device (the cheap one), because you’re now broke?
Don’t worry. You don’t have to. There’s an app for that. You can download a free app that lets you download more than 420,000 Kindle books from Amazon.com onto your iPhone or iPod touch. No Kindle required. I tried it myself and downloaded my own book (FREE LOVE) onto my iPhone and it worked like a charm. You sacrifice some formatting and you don’t get the groovy images that will be in the printed version of FREE LOVE when it’s available, but if you just can’t wait for it to come out, or want a convenient way to read your favorite books, and/or don’t want to talk to that strange person sitting next to you on the train or in your bed, this is a good way to go. It even automatically synchronizes your last page read between devices, which would personally drive me absolutely batshit crazy if it didn’t. Get it from Amazon.com/Apple’s App Store and get reading.
